Project Leader:
Sister Florence Hantamalala
Saint Alphonse Marie Fusco Aranta Catholic School in Mahajanga, Madagascar is a school for the poorest of the poor. The Sisters of St. John the Baptist work there and do not receive a salary because parents cannot afford to pay tuition. The school is not fenced and does not have adequate latrines. The lack of latrines increases the spread of disease and pollution in the already poor village. The absence of suitable fencing is a safety hazard! People roam the premises making lots of noise disrupting the students’ studies. Finally, the children can be lured away or wander off. Your donation of $25 will help buy fencing or latrines.
