Project Leader:
Sister Maura Ng
The “Mother of Hope” faith formation center has begun its path since 2015, seeking to provide a comprehensive response to vulnerable people, groups, and families in our town in the rural area of Oriente Antioqueño, Colombia (Diocese of Sonsón-Rio Negro). This apostolic and missionary project belongs to the Servants of the Plan of God, who have been present in the diocese for 18 years. We are women consecrated to God who respond out of love, through our service and apostolic action to those who most need us. We help the most vulnerable families through the biweekly food delivery and visits to their homes; accompanying them and listening to them, we can detect and develop specific aids to cover their most urgent needs and those that have been caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. We also want to be able to help migrant families to have decent access to basic health, training, and education services. The youth and children's group accompanies young people, children, and their families seeking to bring God's love into their lives. We are also planning to invest in constructions in the “Madre de la Esperanza” training center, aimed at training and accompanying the people we visit, and families, youth and parish groups, schools and children close to our town. Our goal is to continue with these missionary initiatives to serve the most vulnerable population that has suffered the consequences of poverty and unemployment aggravated by the pandemic. Your help makes it possible to continue with these projects and help those who need us most.
