St.Jude primary school kakooge is a catholic founded school found in the diocese of Kasana Luweero in Uganda. It was founded in 1999 as away for evangelization through holistic education of children and instilling hope among the people who were still coming to terms with the disastrous effect of the civil war that lasted for 6 years until 1987. The school is located in a semi arid area of the cattle corridor in Luweero triangle which is a dry land and hence water is very scarce. The school right now has a population of 1034 students and depends on water harvested during the scanty rains throughout the year. Given the fact that this water is shared with the students and the neighboring homes it becomes inadequate in a very short run since the school has only two water tanks used to harvest water. We plan to have 4 new tanks to cater for the population so that the school can have adequate water for students and also for a sorrounding neighbors.
