Project Leader:
Reverend Sylvester D'cruz
The Diocese of Sultanpet, established under Pope Francis, in December 2013, is located within the civil District of Palakkad in the southwest of India, in the region of Kerala. This district has one of the highest rates of illiteracy, poverty and unemployment. Now, under the leadership of Most Rev. Dr. Antonysamy Peter Abir, there are 28 diocesan priests. There are 20 seminarians at different levels who need support in formation and training. Fr. Sylvester D’Cruz, a parish priest, who oversees St. Paul’s Illam, an Apostolic school and residence for young men who are discerning the priesthood, accepts the challenges impact vocations and is asking the MISSIO community to please help its development. Help these faithful men connect the local churches universally through their studies, talents, commitment and faith. Give $150 or give $15 to support Fr. Sylvester’s ministry to provide education and formation for young men in Sultanpet, India.
