Project Leader:
Reverend Mbumba Prosper
The Church in Mongolia is young and growing. Although the country is not yet a diocese, Mongolia has its first Bishop and its first priest was ordained in 2016. Father Mbumba is one of the few missionaries building up the Church there. He has started a new parish in the city of Erdenet. He hopes to build a spiritual home for the local community. He is raising money to help hire and train a catechist for the new Divine Mercy Parish to ensure the church’s survival. Mongolian law requires the church to employ at least one Mongolian. Priests are considered foreign workers and must pay a monthly tax. This new position will help Divine Mercy Church navigate these state requirements and form the members in the Catholic faith. Give $50 to support the Mongolian Church at this exciting time.
