Project Leader:
Reverend Johny Dominic Padinjar
Ministry is not easy. Clergy, lay leaders, and educators experience a variety of issues related to overwork, burn-out, and constant transition. Since 2003, Fr. Johny Dominic Padinjar and the staff at Sumedha have made it their ministry to offer mental health and spiritual counseling and other healing services to pastoral leaders in Jeollikote, India. In Sanskrit, Sumedha refers to a healthy brain that can integrate both body and mind. Sumedha staff and programs encourage renewal of body, mind and spirit through an integration of practices from psychology and spirituality. Today, Fr. Johny and the staff at the Sumedha Center face an urgent need to build a new facility in order to continue their mission. Give $25 to help Fr. Johny continue this important retreat and care center for pastoral leaders.
