The challenge is lack of financial support to build a dairy unit that will ultimately help sustain the community and the school. There is a need to improve the cows’ feeding program. Currently the cows have no structure to safeguard them. A better feeding program will also increase milk production. Since milk in this area is very marketable, we wish to keep these cows well. The dairy unit will help reduce risk to the cows of many diseases. At the moment the cows are producing 14 litres and I believe when we build this new dairy unit we will be producing over 20 liters per milking. The environment is very conducive to dairy. We will also be able to plant cereal crops on the land with this help. Please help sustain the schools and local communities at large with food.
