Project Leader:
Reverend Nikas Kiuko
In Kilolero Parish of the Mahenge Diocese we have no source of clean and safe water for the whole community. People of all faiths are going to the nearby river to take water which is not safe and clean. Dangerous animals near the river attack the people. I am unable to live at the parish because there is no water and cannot serve my parishioners as well as I hope to serve them. With a safe source of clean water people would have freedom to come to Mass and other church activities more often. Please help me serve the entire community here in Kilolero Parish.

Greetings on this memorial of St. John Vianney. Phase 3 of our project is now published for your prayers and consideration. Please share this project with others. May God be with you and Mary keep you! https://www.missio.org/project/20078/Water-Tank-for-Kilolero-Parish-Tanzania-Phase-3
Greetings friends and benefactors. With the generosity of our Phase 2 benefactor our well is fully functional and serving our community. Prices had increased again and we were only able to afford a lower horsepower water pump that serves us while the water level is high during our wet season. Later this summer our water level will drop and the pump will not work. Missio has permitted us to request a Phase 3 for a stronger water pump and additional water pipe to carry the water to two additional water stations each 4 kilometers from the parish and increase the number of people we can serve. Please watch for Phase 3 to be published and help us continue to serve these wonderful people. May God bless you for your generosity. You are in our prayers.
Greetings friends and benefactors. It has pleased God that our Phase 2 project was published to Missio.org on December 17 and then fully funded the next day with a single generous donation of the full $3500. We are deeply grateful. Please know that each of you continue to be in our prayers. Rev. Fr. Nikas Kiuko Parish Priest
Friends and benefactors, The drilling is complete but costs were higher than expected and the project is not finished. The bore-hole is 120 meters deep and the water cannot be accessed with mechanical pumps. Now the dry season is at crisis levels and the parish has been closed due to lack of water. I am unable to live at the parish and must travel 60 km each Sunday to say Mass. Please watch for a Phase 2 Project to be published here on MISSIO.ORG. We need to purchase an electric pump with generator and the 10,000 liter water tank. Local people will provide meals for the workers, diesel to run the generator, and brick and sand for the support structures yet to be built. We would be so grateful for your assistance. Again, thank you for your generous sacrifices on our behalf.
The rainy season is behind us. Roads and bridges are restored. Drilling has begun. What a blessing this will be for so many, many people of all faiths in the surrounding community. May God be praised for all you have done to help us. God will not be outdone in generosity.
