Project Leader:
Sister Florence Isuli
Can you imagine reducing the number of hungry people in the world by 150 million? We can. Empowering female farmers with the same resources and education as men would do just that. MISSIO has partnered with Tangaza University in Kenya to develop an Agribusiness MBA program where local sisters and priests can learn to utilize unused land in their communities. Sister Florence Isuli is a graduate. She is now making a difference feeding the hungry in her village of Mtwapa. What was a small vegetable garden, Sister Isuli has developed into a 2.5-acre community farm to employ and feed the residents of Mtwapa. Sister Isuli and her community of Mary Mother of God Sisters is asking for help to build a greenhouse on their new farm. Give $25 dollars and reduce food insecurity in Kenya.
