We heard from project leader, Sister Maureen...."Tuberculosis, is considered as a disease of poverty and Canossa Health and Social Center from the start of its foundation in the early ‘70s gives primary attention to patients affected by tuberculosis especially the children. Tuberculosis is closely linked to malnutrition thus feeding program is also part of the treatment therapy. Treatment of children with tuberculosis is for 6 months and we admit 20 to 25 children per six months."
