The St. Francis Emmaus hostel for Indigenous mothers and infants is making a difference by saving lives. The center provides access to medical care for women and infants who live several days journey in remote mountain areas to stay during the tender days just before and after birth or during a child's illness. In addition to access, housing and nutrition, staff provides education to mothers throughout the first year. $100 pays for a week for one mother and child.
