Religious Sisters in Africa make a difference every day for children and families. They run schools, hospitals and clinics. They teach children, help mothers care for their families, offer basic medical care, and always provide a compassionate ear and a listening heart. These Sisters also run farms attached to their schools, hospitals and convents. Take for example, Sister Mary Chilengwe, from Zambia, who ventured into agriculture as a way to grow food for both her Sisters in her congregation and her local people. Likewise, Sister Mariarosa, in Malawi grows bananas and assorted vegetables to help sustain the people there. And Sister Catherine, from Nigeria, who stands firm in solidarity as she helps plant seeds of hope and produce to help nourish the community. Will you help these Sisters get the training, advisory and support they need to operate their farms and feed the villages they serve? Your contribution helps to provide business and financial management training, on-site advisory from agricultural specialists, and continuous accompaniment throughout the life of their projects. Support them and you’re impacting entire villages, addressing poverty and food security. As little as $20 can make a difference.
