Project Leader:
Reverend Johnson Francis
Deforestation in the district of Lalitpur in the region of Bundelkhand in India has made tribal populations turn to farming of higher castes in return for their livelihood. The people face challenges including shortage of food, drinking water, healthcare and education. This project aims at helping secure safe drinking water for 10 villages. The development of a bore well and hand pumps will allow them to manage a safe drinking water system. At this moment, women and children, especially girls, are forced to go far in order to procure water. This is a laborious activity and a dangerous one! Drinking water is one of the basic needs. Please help fund this project so that Sahariya people can have safe drinking water.
