Project Leader:
Reverend Paul Thamaini
A gift of just $25 helps clear land for the new well at St. Matthew’s Parish in Nyeri, Kenya. Water scarcity in Kenya has been an issue for decades. Like many of parts of Kenya, the current water reservoir at St. Matthews collects rain water but does filter the water. The rates of cholera and parasites are a serious problem. The shortage of clean water forces a large population of women and children to spend a third of their day fetching water from the nearest fresh water source. Fr. Paul Thamaini is raising money to develop a more permanent, reliable, and same source of water for his parish and the surrounding community. You can help St. Matthew’s build a new well.
