Pre-eclampsia usually affect pregnant women especially first-time mothers and women with multiple pregnancies. It's characterized by elevated blood pressure, swelling of the feet and presence of protein in urine. These conditions are identified through regular blood pressure check and urine testing during routine prenatal care. If not treated it can lead to a more dangerous condition called eclampsia which is one of the most common causes of death during pregnancy and labor. This condition can be prevented by isolating at risk women through regular urine testing. Early and prompt treatment help reduce the chances of maternal and fetal death. A donation of $20 helps provide medical exams.
